Sintra in Portugal
I was in Portugal with a painting group, and we decided to go to the ancient hill town of Sintra. I had heard about it, but nothing could have prepared me for it's magic! The bus strained up the mountain, the road being as wide as the vehicle, and suddenly, there it was! How it was built is another question. Bringing all that material up the mountain BEFORE vehicles were ever heard of. I painted just below a castle wall, out of the wind, and had a wonderful view of the town below. I had no idea I had an audience above me on the castle wall.
The image is 14x18,oil and framed.
